# Bites

> Bites is a commission-free food ordering platform offering delivery and pickup at dine-in prices — no price markups, no hidden fees. Restaurants pay a flat $1 per order instead of the 20–30% commissions charged by DoorDash, Uber Eats, and Grubhub. Built by Delivery Collective.

Bites (withbites.com) lets customers order directly from their favorite restaurants at the same prices they would pay walking in the door. There are no menu markups and no delivery-app service fees stacked on top of the subtotal. Bites' tagline on the home page is "Food Delivery at Dine-in Prices," and the platform positions itself as the fix for an industry where "everyone's overpaying." To date Bites has served 1M+ orders across 1,000+ restaurants in 85+ cities and has saved customers more than $6M compared with third-party delivery apps.

Restaurants plug into Bites in three ways: a white-labeled ordering page on a custom domain (for example `order.<restaurant>.com`), a branded subdomain on `<brand>.withbites.com`, or a multi-location brand storefront at `withbites.com/brands/<brand>`. All three surfaces route to the same Next.js storefront at withbites.com. Bites integrates directly with restaurant point-of-sale (POS) systems including Toast, Square, Clover, Qu, Deliverect, SkyTab, and SpotOn, so orders flow straight to the kitchen without a tablet in the middle.

Bites is live as an orderable AI agent inside **ChatGPT** (as a ChatGPT app, surfaced through the ChatGPT apps and GPT store experience — users can ask ChatGPT to find restaurants, browse menus, add items to a cart, and check out on Bites entirely inside the conversation via an embedded Bites widget) and inside **Claude** (as an official Claude connector backed by a Model Context Protocol server at `bites-mcp-server`, so Claude can search menus, build orders, and place them on behalf of the user without leaving the chat). Support for **Perplexity** and **Gemini** is coming next. The same conversational ordering experience is also available on-site at `withbites.com/bitesGPT`, and a Notion-powered blog at `withbites.com/blog` covers AI-commerce launches, partnership news, and restaurant spotlights.
